I Remember When Adidas Cost $20

Checkout this shoe. It supposedly has a computer chip inside, and adjusts the shoe to your foot dynamically. Good for a product placement in my futuristic Sci Fi Action Comedy, if nothing else. At $250, I won't be buying these. That's like, $125 per foot? I can play in three poker tournaments at Hollypark for that :)

Bleed for Public Safety

Ponder the very real possibility that you may soon be driving on a public road, breaking no laws, then be stopped, questioned, and if the police officer doesn't like your answers, be forced to give him blood. Ponder that in many states, you've no right to ask that a trained medical professional draw the blood, either. The cops get to jab you.

Scab Writers Cross the Digital Picket Lines

Clearly, some people just don't get it. Either this is a good idea, or it isn't, or it may just be fear mongering on the part of the striking WGA members. In any case...Scabs have begun writing some soap operas in violation of the Writers Guild strike. Apparently soap operas can be written by non-union workers by themselves at home with no noticeable lack in soap opera quality.

I Guess I'm Supposed To Be On Strike...

I'm a writer. And a director, and producer, as well as an actor, but not so much of that lately. Do I go on strike against myself? Picket in front of my apartment while I scoff at myself for not understanding the other side's issues? Did I get the apostrophe in the right place? These are all questions I will be struggling with while the WGA is on strike.

Of course, I'm not currently in the WGA, although, I hope to be one day. Will this strike affect my ability to get work right now? I thought there was a definitive place I could send you, however, it turns out, I don't have a direct link. I did find the YouTube video about the situation.

In any case, what started this rant was finding this site, wherein the writer's lament.

I'm on their side. Really...
